Ahmed Rashid Jibril is the Chairman for 748 Air Services (K) Ltd. He has been actively involved in the operations and expansion of 748 Air Services, since its founding in 1994. As Managing Director, he developed and implemented all major strategic initiatives, which led to the growth of the company from one 748 Hawker aircraft to the current fleet of aircraft(s) made up of Dash 8-400, Dash 8 -100 and Cessna Caravans.

Ahmed is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, Canada. He is also a member of Institutes of Public Accountants of Kenya and founding member of the Association of Financial Analysts of Kenya. He holds a B.A in Commerce from the University of Nairobi.

Moses Mwangi is a highly motivated expert in aviation finance and management who holds an MBA from Edinburgh business school in the UK. He is a certified public accountant with a current practicing certificate. He is also an alumnus of Harvard business school’s advanced management program.

Moses has a proven leadership portfolio having worked as CFO and CEO for different aviation companies in East Africa. He is passionate about the Aviation Industry and a go getter with notable accomplishments in the 40 years he has worked with the aviation and manufacturing industries.

Captain Fahim Mohammed is a graduate with an associate degree in Aeronautical sciences, from community college in Portland, Oregon, USA. He holds a commercial pilot’s license from the FAA and is a flight instructor CFI, CFII, MEI from Hillsboro Aviation in Portland. He also holds a Kenyan ATPL and is rated on different aircrafts with over 9000 flight time hours. He also acts as the company’s Director of Operations as well as the Line Pilot and Training Captain on our Dash 8 fleet.

He is very adept in the aviation industry and possesses technical skills with over 15 years working experience.

Rashid has a wealth of experience in Senior Management having served in the Government as well as an International NGO for more than two decades. His knowledge and experience in the NGO world makes him an asset to the company towards delivery of services to the Humanitarian Sector. He is highly skilled in building client relationships having worked as Marketing Manager for 748 Air Services (K) Ltd for 9 years.

Rashid is able to ensure consistency of service delivery and is very competent in developing new business clienteles.

Safiya is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRPK) and a Graduate of Makerere University Business School in International Business. She is also a member of good standing with the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

She is well versed in policy formulation, design and delivery of efficient and effective HRM systems, processes and practices as well as management and development of people. Safiya boasts over 10 years of experience in Human Resources and Financial Management.

She is also a volunteer of Mama Ibado Charity, an organization whose mission is to restore dignity to the senior citizens through the provision of basic needs, as the HR & Volunteer Coordinator for the last 7 years.

Tawane is a Licensed Engineer and rated on different types of aircraft such as Dash 8 Series and Fokker 50. He is highly qualified and knowledgeable due to numerous courses he has undertaken on engineering such as Quality Management in Airline Operations, Aircraft Maintenance and Engineering Management, Line maintenance among others.

He has over 20 years of experience in maintenance having worked for major aviation companies like Kenya Air Force, Blue Bird Aviation and ALS Ltd. Tawane is currently undertaking a Master’s Degree in Air Transport Management at the City University of London.

Ibrahim Noor Osman is a highly seasoned finance professional with a strong background in financial management, accounting, and strategic planning. As the Chief Accountant at 748 Air Services, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and sustainability in all financial matters. 

With over a decade of experience in the aviation sector, Ibrahim has played a key role in budgeting, cost control, revenue management, and financial reporting. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B Com) from Egerton University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Since joining 748 Air Services in 2014, he has steadily risen through the ranks, previously serving as Senior Accountant, where he was instrumental in optimizing financial systems and driving operational improvements. 

Ibrahim is committed to maintaining strong financial governance, implementing best practices, and supporting the company’s long-term growth through strategic financial planning and risk management. 

Maurice Juma is nothing but the remarkable definition of a diligent person. Maurice began his aviation journey in 2014 after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management specializing on Civil Aviation Management from Moi University, where he graduated with Honours. He pushed forth and slowly came up the ladder first as an intern and later as a Quality Inspector and Auditor at ALS Ltd. His responsibilities among others included: Conducting quality audits with follow-ups for non-conformances, producing manuals and publications for evaluation and reviews and processing staff authorizations and maintenance concessions for management.

In 2018, Maurice joined Seven Four Eight Air Services (K) Ltd as a Safety Officer. His continued commitment and hard work to ensure safety compliance in the entire organization has seen grow to become the Head of Safety. Maurice was recently nominated to be the focal point for our Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) venture.

George Oduor is a highly skilled Environmental and Safety Management professional with over 20 years of experience spanning the manufacturing and aviation industries. He initially worked as a Quality Assurance Manager in a multinational manufacturing company before transitioning into aviation. 

George joined 748 Air Services in October 2022 as the Environmental Manager, where he has successfully led the implementation and certification of the Environmental Management System (EMS) under ISO 14001:2015. His role focuses on fuel efficiency, carbon emission reduction programs, environmental sustainability, and regulatory compliance. In addition, he oversees Occupational Safety and Health (OSHA) within the company. 

His background is Analytical Chemistry and has completed a Flight Operations and Dispatch Course at the East Africa School of Aviation. Additionally, he has received certifications from IATA in Environmental Management Systems (Aviation), CORSIA technical knowledge for verifiers, carbon markets in aviation, and Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) requirements under CORSIA. 

George also serves as the Company Focal Point for the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) and is a member of the National Steering Committee on the Development and Deployment of Sustainable Aviation Fuel under KCAA. His expertise and leadership contribute significantly to 748 Air Services’ commitment to environmental sustainability and compliance obligations.

Aviation has always been a passion for Charlesworth, a Caribbean native. His aviation career commenced in 1985 when he graduated from Spartan school of Aeronautics (USA) as an A&P Technician. For four years, he was responsible for maintaining the Dash 8 and a number of other aircraft. Hunte joined Moncton Flight Center (Canada) from 1989- 1990 where he was able to complete his flight training. In 1992, he officially became a pilot. Through Hard work coupled with determination, Hunte became a Captain of the Dash 8 in 2000 and in 2007 he relocated to Kenya.

Hunte is not only an experienced captain with the Dash 8 series but a training captain as well. He boasts over 20,000 flight time hours.

Hunte holds an Executive Master of Business Administration (Aviation) from Moi University -Kenya.

Agnes Nyarwai Ndegwa is an accomplished aviation professional with over 10 years of experience in cabin crew operations. She currently serves as the Inflight Manager at 748 Air Services, where she leads cabin crew operations, ensures regulatory compliance, and upholds the highest standards of passenger safety and service excellence.

With a strong background in strategic leadership, policy development, and crew training, Agnes has been instrumental in enhancing operational efficiency, improving safety protocols, and fostering a culture of excellence. Her expertise also extends to humanitarian flight operations management across East Africa, where she has demonstrated exceptional skill in handling emergency situations with professionalism and composure.

As a certified cabin crew instructor, Agnes is passionate about mentoring and developing talent within the aviation industry. Her leadership, adaptability, and dedication to service continue to elevate 748 Air Services’ reputation as a leader in safety, efficiency, and exceptional customer experience.

Gitau Ayub Makimei is a highly skilled and experienced aviation professional, currently serving as the Chief Pilot at 748 Air Services. With over 9,500 flight hours, he is a Designated Check Pilot and Instructor for all variants of the DHC8 aircraft, ensuring operational excellence and pilot proficiency.

Throughout his career, Gitau has held leadership roles in multiple airlines, including Fly 540, Airworks Limited, and Blue Bird Aviation, where he served as a Captain and Senior Flight Crew Member. His expertise extends beyond piloting, encompassing flight operations management, aviation safety, and pilot training.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Electronics, and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Nairobi and completed his Commercial Pilot License (CPL) training at 43 Air School in South Africa. His extensive knowledge and leadership in aviation have played a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiency and safety standards.

 Captain Gitau’s dedication to aviation goes beyond commercial flying; as a mentor and trainer, he continues to shape the next generation of pilots while upholding the highest standards in both humanitarian and commercial aviation.

Captain Jeffrey Roy Dusang is a highly experienced aviation professional with extensive expertise in pilot training, safety management, and flight operations. He holds multiple ATPL licenses, including from Kenya, Canada, the FAA, and Ghana, with a specialization in De Havilland DHC-8 aircraft.

Currently serving as the Director of Pilot Training at 748 Air Services, Captain Dusang has held key leadership roles, including Director of Safety at Passion Air Airlines in Ghana and Director of Safety at 748 Air Services. With over 30 years of experience, he has been instrumental in flight safety training, simulator instruction, quality management, and crew resource management.

A certified Ground School and Simulator Instructor, Captain Dusang has trained pilots globally, working with institutions such as Flight Safety International, Porter Airlines, and Transport Canada. His vast expertise in safety protocols, emergency response, and flight operations management continues to uphold the highest standards of aviation excellence at 748 Air Services.

Judy Kalekye Makau is a highly experienced aviation professional with over 13 years in flight operations and air support management. She currently serves as the Head of Ground Operations and Air Support at 748 Air Services, where she leads teams in flight coordination, crew management, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Judy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management from Moi University and multiple aviation certifications, including a Diploma in Flight Operations, a Flight Dispatch License, and a Dangerous Goods Specialist Diploma. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in enhancing operational control, optimizing resources, and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

With extensive expertise in ground and air operations, Judy is dedicated to driving efficiency, fostering innovation, and ensuring smooth flight operations at 748 Air Services.

Training Manager & Training Captain, Dash 8 Fleet

Captain Rashid Abdi Hussein is a seasoned aviation professional with over 14,000 flight hours and more than two decades of experience in flight operations, pilot training, and safety management. Currently serving as the Company Training Manager at 748 Air Services, he oversees all pilot training and checking programs, ensuring the highest standards of safety and operational excellence across the Dash 8 fleet.

A KCAA Designated Check Pilot, Certified Flight Instructor, and Instrument Rating Examiner, Captain Rashid has played a key role in developing Standard Operating Procedures, mentoring pilots, and upholding our strong safety and quality culture. His leadership and passion for continuous learning have helped shape a new generation of pilots within the company, reflecting our commitment to excellence, professionalism, and growth.

Victor Kiplimo Biwott is an experienced Aviation Engineering team lead with over five years experience in the aviation industry. He is skilled in Continuous Aircraft Airworthiness Management, Airworthiness Data Review, and Aircraft Maintenance Engineering.

He is a diligent, highly motivated, and committed individual with a strong focus on achieving personal goals and succeeding in a professional and challenging business environment.

In 2017, he joined 748 Air Services as a maintenance planner, and later on was appointed as the Head of Engineering.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from The Kenya Polytechnic University and recently successfully completed a Master’s in Business Administration at Jack Welch Management Institute.

Evelyn Ilavusa Kies is an experienced Parts and Procurement Manager with a strong background in aviation inventory management, procurement, and regulatory compliance. She currently leads the Parts and Procurement Department at 748 Air Services, ensuring the seamless acquisition, management, and supply of aircraft parts necessary for maintenance and operations.

With a degree in Business Management from Moi University, Evelyn has extensive expertise in supplier relations, quality control, and aviation safety regulations. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in optimizing procurement processes, maintaining critical inventory levels, and enhancing operational efficiency.

Her passion for team collaboration, problem-solving, and process improvement continues to drive efficiency and reliability in aircraft maintenance and operations at 748 Air Services.

James commenced his aviation career in 2003 and has been actively involved in Aircraft Maintenance for more than 15 years. Through hard work, determination and a passion for the aviation industry, he was appointed as the Head of Base Maintenance in early 2018, after holding various senior positions in 748 Air Services.

He holds a Kenyan CAA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s license and is type rated in the Cessna Grand Caravan (C 208B); the Bombardier DHC-8- 100/200/300 and Q400 series as well as Pratt and Whitney PT6A series Engines.

James holds a Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering (Airframes & Power plant), and is currently pursuing Executive Masters (Aviation Option) in Business Administration at the Moi University.

Edward Aluda is an accomplished aviation security professional with extensive experience in aviation safety, risk assessment, and security operations. As the Security Manager at 748 Air Services, he leads a team in ensuring safe and secure operations across both aviation and commercial sections.

With a career spanning over two decades, Edward has held key security roles in multiple airlines, overseeing compliance with aviation regulations, security risk assessments, emergency response planning, and personnel training. He has worked closely with government security agencies, regulatory bodies, and law enforcement to enhance security measures and protection of assets.

Edward holds multiple certifications in Aviation Security (AVSEC), Flight Operations, Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR), and Crisis Management. His expertise continues to strengthen 748 Air Services’ commitment to safety, regulatory compliance, and secure operations.

Desmond Wagumba is an accomplished IT and aviation technology professional with extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, network administration, and revenue optimization. He currently serves as the ICT Manager at 748 Air Services, overseeing technology strategy, systems security, and IT operations to ensure seamless business processes.

With a BSc in Electronics and Communication and multiple industry certifications, including Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Backup Exec Administrator, Desmond has led digital transformation initiatives, cybersecurity enhancements, and IT policy development throughout his career.

Beyond IT, he also held a key leadership role as Revenue Manager at 748 Air Services, driving pricing strategies, demand forecasting, and revenue optimization. With over two decades of experience, Desmond continues to lead technological innovation and digital security at 748 Air Services, ensuring operational efficiency and data integrity.
