To monitor and ensure distribution, updating, tracking of company and manufacturer Manual Revisions as well as ensure the availability of an accurate inventory/catalogue of resources statistics and generate reports as required, as well as perform original cataloguing and classification of print, audio-visual and electronic Resources.
To monitor all company Manuals to ensure format standardization.
Contacting Manual providers for current status of Manuals to ensure Manuals are kept current and ensure that all Manual subscription accounts are kept current.
Ensure station libraries are current, and Revisions and libraries are updated in a timely manner.
Ensure Implementation of Library and information policies and procedures.
Ensure manuals stored in the library, soft and hard, are locked in safely, to control access as well as neatly and logically shelved and marked to ease access.
Will work closely with the IT department to ensure that electronically stored information is secured as per best practice standards for Cyber security.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the manager in charge or designate.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in library science, Information Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years working in an aviation library.
Must have done training in Document management or a related course.
Analytical skills with ability to identify systems strengths and weaknesses, and drive for continuous improvement.
Knowledge of the KCARS and ICAO which govern the company’s operations.
Proven experience demonstrating organizational & project management skills.
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Develop problem-solving, decision-making skills, integrity, discretion, confidentiality and professionalism.
Good interpersonal, social skills and communication skills.
Work under pressure to meet tight company schedule.
